Rebecca Atkinson-Lord
Rebecca Atkinson-Lord is a UK based theatre director working in Classical Drama, New Writing, Opera, Musical Theatre and Devising. She is a member of British Equity and from 2006 - 2009 was a member of the Equity Directors Committee.
Rebecca is currently working as Trainee Assistant Director on Graham Vick’s Tamerlano, starring Placido Domingo, at the Royal Opera House.
After completing her studies at the University of Bristol, King's College and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Rebecca founded a theatre production company, Mirtos Productions, of which she is currently Artistic Director. She also runs Arch 468, a Theatre Studio in South West London.
Rebecca’s recent projects include working as Text Adviser on Troilus and Cressida at Shakespeare’s Globe, directing Mark Ravenhill’s Mother Clap’s Molly House at the Crescent Theatre in Birmingham and development work with Glyn Maxwell for the Poetry School at Soho Theatre.
In her teaching work, Rebecca has most recently been working as a visiting lecturer on the RADA Directors and MA courses and as a visiting director at East 15, Birmingham School of Acting and the Oxford School of Drama.
